Southern Illinois is Prime for Bundled Renewable Energy
Germany came to a crisis point and they turned it around. Why do we have to push ourselves to the end to get it? Standing with Rocky Branch
I kept hearing about this place called Rocky Branch in Saline County, Illinois. My recollections of earlier trips between Harrisburg and Marion were of moonscapes with dry scrub grass, evidence of the failed or ignored ruling of returning the land back to its’ original state after strip mining. I pretty much thought of everything beyond Marion as wasteland so why worry about one more mine going in, after all, coal is dead around here isn’t it? Then I got invited to go over there to meet the people and to see what is actually going on and I soon found out why I should care.
